Female leadership and inclusive communication

Leadership femminile nel mondo PR

Milan, October 14, 2025  – Communication has always been a powerful tool for social representation and transformation. In a sector like public relations – for decades populated by female professionals but still marked by disparities in leadership roles – promoting gender equity means actively contributing to concrete cultural change.

It is in this context that the strong bond between us and GWPR Italia – Global Women in PR, the international association that promotes female leadership in the world of communication, takes shape. A commitment that is strengthened thanks to the presence of Rossella Rosciano, our founder, on the Italian board of the organization.

GWPR: a global network for female empowerment in communication

GWPR is an international network founded in the United Kingdom in 2015, with local chapters active in over 25 countries. The association’s objective is clear: to increase female representation in leadership roles in the PR and communication sector through mentoring, training, networking, advocacy, and research activities.

In Italy, GWPR has quickly established itself as a reference point for industry professionals who want to make their voices heard, share experiences, support each other, and contribute to a more equitable, meritocratic, and collaborative work ecosystem.

Since 2019, Rossella Rosciano has been part of the GWPR Italia board. Her presence in this governance body is not only recognition of her professional profile but also testimony to the agency’s commitment to gender equality and the enhancement of female talent.

Through her activity within the association, Rossella contributes to:

  • conceiving and supporting mentoring initiatives for young female professionals in the sector;
  • organizing events and roundtables on issues of inclusion, work-life balance, and gentle leadership;
  • spreading a more collaborative, transparent work culture based on valuing differences;
  • creating bridges between generations of professionals, encouraging the sharing of skills, stories, and experiences.

This active participation allows us not only to stay connected with a network of Italian and international professional excellence but also to bring values and practices into the agency that foster an increasingly inclusive work environment.

The network effect: building a more representative sector together

The experience in GWPR allows us to actively participate in a discussion network that encourages the cross-pollination of ideas and the sharing of best practices. An ongoing dialogue among professionals from agencies, companies, institutions, and media, which translates into concrete stimuli for innovation and growth.

Being part of this network means, for MiRò, contributing to the construction of a more representative and aware PR sector, where diversity is not just a declared value but a real driver of performance, reputation, and social impact.

A commitment looking to the future

The vision is clear: truly effective communication cannot exist without those who build it. More diversity in teams means more vision, more listening, more impact.

GWPR represents for us a platform for action, training, and inspiration. But above all, a space for possible transformation. Challenges related to gender equality do not resolve themselves: they require courage and shared responsibility.

That is why MiRò will continue to invest in relationships, talents, and paths capable of changing work culture from within. Because leadership is not only measured in KPIs but in the ability to build environments that foster the growth of everyone.
